Galaxy Labs uses personal information only for operating the research catalogue, securing accounts and orders, processing payments, fulfilling New Zealand deliveries, answering enquiries, and meeting applicable record-keeping obligations.
Depending on how you use the site, we may process account information such as your name and email address; checkout information such as your phone number and New Zealand shipping address; order contents, totals, status and tracking information; research-support messages; and technical information needed to operate authentication, fraud prevention, payment status, and website security.
The email attached to an order is the email of the authenticated Galaxy Labs account used for checkout. Galaxy Labs does not collect or store raw payment-card numbers. Payment entry is handled on PayRam's hosted checkout and any payment method or provider that PayRam makes available to the customer.
Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the site — for example hosting/authentication infrastructure, PayRam and payment/on-ramp providers selected on its hosted checkout, transactional email services, address-lookup services, and delivery providers. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Galaxy Labs does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Galaxy Labs receives payment-status information and identifiers needed to reconcile an order, but raw card details are not entered into the Galaxy Labs checkout. A return to the website is not treated as proof of payment; order state is updated from authenticated PayRam status data.
We retain order and transaction records for as long as reasonably required for fulfilment, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, and other lawful business purposes. Account, support, and operational records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
Galaxy Labs intends to handle personal information consistently with the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. You may ask for access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. A deletion request may be limited where information must be retained for a lawful purpose, including transaction or record-keeping requirements.
You can avoid placing an order if you do not want to provide delivery information. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, retention, or other privacy matters. Account-owned payment and order records are not made public through the customer interface.
